A VERY basic and outdated hotel with a unique charm. The rooms are from the 90's, don't expect a white duvet and pillow mints, its old and there is no way of covering it up. The location is excellent as it is directly off the TransCanada, the staff were lovely and very accommodating, even offering several rooms that would best suit my needs. The amenities are NONE, the bathroom are old tile and poor plumbing and the water is undrinkable (tastes like salt and Iron), but it was exceptionally clean, fresh white linens without any stains and no creepy crawlies. I cannot give this place 1-Star, it would be wrong, but at the same time it is not 3-star, this place will do as a last resort if you need a place to sleep.

One significant complaint is room temperature. Management keeps the heat off when rooms are vacant, even in winter. We turned heat on immediately but it took six hours to come up to temp. Room was clean, clerk very nice, modest breakfast.

The mattress was lumpy, and comforter had not been washed in ages.

Very basic and dated. Old TV, no coffee maker or mini fridge in our room, broken lamp, broken ice machine. OK if you just need to get off the highway and sleep. The sign says economy rate but be prepared to pay $100 for a double bed

I travel a lot from a major carrier and when waiting for truck to show up.This place feels like a 2nd home. A major renovation would bring it up.I will always come back here for the ppl here make the difference
